[ Timothy Tredwell did not tread so well... ]
Tredwell lived for thirteen summers among
the bears, in the wild, unarmed. Acclaimed director Werner Herzog
explores the life and grizzly death, pun intended, of the
amateur grizzly bear expert and wildlife preservationist during Tredwell's
last five summers among the animals. The mesmerizing film demonstrates
the uneasy relationship between man and nature. Check Burn's Court site

[ Just who is Ethel Waters? ]
Find out as Florida Studio Theater opens its Main Stage season on
October 5th with Ethel Waters: His Eye is on the Sparrow, by Larry Parr. Waters
popularized many song classics, including "Stormy Weather", and was one
of the most influential jazz and blues singers of her time. She was also
the first African-American woman to be given equal billing with white
co-stars on Broadway and to play leading roles in film. Hers was a career that spanned seven
decades and included an array of accomplishments. A deeply religious woman,
Ethel Waters' attitude shines through from the hymn she loved; " I
sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free, For His eye is on the
sparrow, And I know He watches me." Contact
FST at 366-9000.
