Andrzej is too hard to spell and most readers would probably stumble on the
pronunciation. So, for purposes of this story, we are going to use Onjay.
That’s how Onjay pronounces it and how he uses it in his email, probably for
the same reasons.
Onjay grew up in Jupiter, FL and made his stage debut in Shakespeare’s “A
Midsummer Night’s Dream” and fell in love with performing. He continued to
act, on stage, throughout his childhood and, at age 20, headed for Hollywood
to pursue a film career. He made his television debut as a technician on
“CSI: Las Vegas” in 2004, appeared in the film “Domino” in 2005 and other
appearances included various roles in “Gilmore Girls."
Onjay decided to go behind the camera and in 2008 wrote and directed a short
film called “Grain of Salt." The education, connections and success of the
first film paved the way for his feature –length directing debut with “Deadly
Closure," starring Lisa Varga (from Marley and Me and America’s Most
Wanted), Kenneth Michael Stellingwerf, Audrey Landers (Dallas, A Chorus
Line) and Diane Ford ("One Night Stand" and nominated eleven years in a row
for Comedienne of the Year).
“Deadly Closure” was selected for, and will premiere at, the
2010 Sarasota
Film Festival. The film was shot locally, using 22 different sets and many
local actors. Check out the
SFF schedule and go see this action-thriller.
Watch The Official Trailer of
"Deadly Closure." Congratulations Onjay! |

[ clay date ]
Every year there is an event to benefit
All Faiths Food Bank
called “Bowls of Hope." It is a simple idea, really, artists (and
non-artists) make bowls of clay; designing, decorating and painting them.
Then, this year in November, at the Bowls of Hope event, people buy the
bowls and eat out of them. They take the bowl home and the money feeds the
hungry. To get you ready for the next event,
Carla’s Clay Studio & Gallery is
having a Free Clay – Free Day event so that you can go make your bowl from
scratch or have Carla help you out. We know people who have done this
before, with their kids, and it is a great family outing. |
