Feature Artist
Billy Tucker

This week’s featured artist is
Billy Tucker, a leading fine art photographer who
recently relocated from Carmel, California to Sarasota.
Considered one of America's foremost and imaginative
fine art photographers, Billy is the creator of the one
of a kind photo collection “Signs
of the Times,” an amazing documentation of signs,
consumer culture and neon photographed over 25 years and
in 43 states - 90% of which is gone forever, except in
Mr. Tucker’s book, of course. This collection of 160
unique and historical signs is touted as “highly
entertaining” and “one of a kind.”
Says Billy, “When spoken words are insufficient to
express our thoughts, emotions, humor or the human
condition, signs became a universal language.”
MOMA curator Susan Kismarik chose “The Blind Man,” shot
in New Orleans in 1983, as a National Photo Award winner
and it will be shown in New York in July!
