Featured Artist
Rick Stiens

Rick Stiens had a dream like so many people do – he
wanted to write a book. He has been a business owner, a
soldier in the Army, a coach, worked on political
campaigns, and has been published in newspapers, but he
wanted to write a book. With the encouragement of
friends and family, he used his keen interest in
politics to create his first suspense novel, “Capital
Murder.”
“Capital Murder” unfolds with the deaths of a prominent
United States senator and his assistant in a suburban
Washington, D.C. park. The justice department creates a
special task force to investigate. The director of the
operation is an ex-intelligence officer. He enlists the
help of a career investigator with whom he has worked in
the past, and an old friend who worked for him during
the war. The limited forensic evidence tells them only
one thing – this was an execution. During the course of
their inquiry, the trail leads to Sarasota as they
uncover an intricate web of political influence,
peddling, corruption, murder and more. “Capital Murder”
is the first in a series of thrillers Rick Stiens plans
to bring to life.
Look for “Capital Murder” at Circle Books on St. Armands
Circle, Main Street Book Store in Sarasota and Sarasota
News and Books. (click
