Featured Artist
Pam Karasy

Pam Karasy, like many creative people, is busy doing
many things at once. Originally from Canada, Pam was a
practicing medical doctor before changing gears and
pursuing a different life. Pam is the owner of
SRQ Box Office. The relatively new business was born
out of necessity when Pam recognized the obstacles some
theatre companies and artists had managing ticket sales
on a low budget. Voila,
SRQBoxOffice.com was hatched! It is a one stop shop
for purchasing tickets to a wide variety of productions
and venues in the area. The cost of the professional
service is covered by a standard servicing fee and,
therefore, organizations are able to have on-line,
computerized ticket sales with tracking basically for
free. What a concept! Pam is also an actress, having
performed three seasons with Sarasota Actors Workshop,
improv at
Florida Studio Theatre and as part of the
gg monologues cast at The
Backlot and
McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre. But that’s not all, Pam is
also a playwright and owner of the successful
Soap Sanctuary; purveyors of custom soaps and other
goodies (we swear by the
Chef’s Specialty Kitchen Loofah Soap at our house).
For all that you do, Pam, thanks and keep up the good
work. (click

[ your story here ]
Want news about your event to
show up in the next issue of anythingarts.com? Great! We are getting a
ton of submissions now and, frankly, some look more like 5,000 word essays. We
get dozens every week and have to choose just a fraction. So, here’s what you
can do to help us and help your chances of getting in. Write something that
resembles the size, layout and information contained in the stories in this
issue. Include a good quality jpeg photo attachment (that you have the rights to
use) and supply us with links to your event website. We can’t get every
submission in or this thing would be too big and you’d all stop reading before
you got through it. But we will try to present as much as possible and continue
to publish a diverse sampling of local events. Heck, make it really easy for us
and we may just copy and paste your submission right in to the issue! Thanks for
reading and please, please, please forward this issue to everyone you know and
help us spread the word. (email your
story here) |
