The Hermitage Artist Retreat

Ok, how about Featured Artist Retreat? Right on the
sands of Manasota Key we have the world class
Hermitage
Artist Retreat. The Hermitage offers artists an extended
residential retreat to delve deeply into their craft.
The Hermitage website says it better than we could; “The
Hermitage Artist Retreat nurtures creativity in
mid-career writers, painters, poets, playwrights,
composers, translators, sculptors, and artists working
in digital media. With a gift of time and inspiring
space, as well as an accommodating and supportive staff
and community, creative people are invited here to work.
Supporting gifted people in their work is our work.”
Part of the Hermitage’s mission is to give back to the
community and artists attending the retreat must agree
to present something locally while in residence.
Bruce
Rodgers is the Executive Director of the Hermitage and
is instrumental in its continued success. Check out

Communities,

[ greetings ]Just 3 more days to see Greetings at
The Players!! Here’s what it’s
about: “Andy has a sweet Catholic mother, a sour Catholic father and a severely
retarded younger brother named Mickey. When he brings his Jewish atheist fiance
to meet the folks on Christmas Eve, his worst fears about family blow ups are
realized. But Mickey, whose entire vocabulary is "oh boy" and "wow," suddenly
says, "Greetings!" An ancient, wise and witty spirit who is set upon healing the
family has borrowed Mickey's body. Though a play for all seasons, Greetings! is
ideal for groups wanting something special to put on at Christmas/Hanukkah
time.” Order tickets
