Featured Artist
Ken Sons

Our Featured Artists for this issue are both the filmmaker, Ken Sons, and the subject of his soon to premiere documentary, Knuckleball, Brett Leake. Ken is known by many locally for his work with McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre and The Bermuda Mavericks (frequently partnered with Les McCurdy). Ken has performed for 24 years as a nationally touring comedian and is also the Development Director for Children First.

Knuckleball is the story of our Co-Featured Artist, Brett Leake. Leake was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 13. Despite the diagnosis, and what would to many be a deterrent, Leake went on to become a nationally recognized comedian and has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno six times. With unwavering determination, Brett faces his progressing disease and continuously finds new ways to bring joy to his life and laughter to millions.
