Featured Artist
Lisa Ward Landsman

Artist Lisa Ward Landsman is a
fifth generation Tampanian of Cuban and Spanish descent.
Her family owned Arango y Arango, one of the original
cigar factories, and a grocery store in Ybor City. Lisa
has loved two things since her early childhood: art and
wildlife. Unlike many of us, Lisa has been able to
create a life where she continues to enjoy both
interests. With a B.A. in Biology from Florida Atlantic
University, she continues to work part-time in the
Department of Biological Operations at The Florida
Aquarium, and create her unique and colorful artwork and
exhibits in galleries on Florida’s Gulf Coast. In
addition her work can be found in private collections
throughout the country.

[ good movie at Burns Court ]
(I saw this movie because I was late to see Volver.
It turned out to be a good thing I was late because it is an interesting,
different, and very entertaining movie.) The following words were
snitched directly from
Film Society web site to save time: Kate Winslet, Patrick Wilson and
Jennifer Connelly star in
Little Children, the latest work from Oscar-nominated Writer/Director Todd
Field. Based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, the film centers on a handful of
individuals whose lives intersect on the playgrounds, town pools and streets of
their small community in surprising and potentially dangerous ways.
