Advertising with
AnythingArts.com's Newsletter is
an easy and inexpensive way to reach
your target audience every other week.
AnythingArts.com's
Newsletter
arrives by email,
packed full of arts news, with hot links to take
readers directly to your website.
Since our debut issue in September
2005,
AnythingArts.com's
Newsletter has been
circulated nearly half-a-million times
and has grown to a subscriber base of
over 4,600 and now also includes an
arts-centric social website with
over 1,600 individual members and
another 25,000 page views per month by
members and non-members. The estimated
combined (subscribers and web visitors)
readers of the newsletter approached
10,000 per month. Our readers refer back to
AnythingArts.com's
Newsletter
an average of 4 times between
issues. AnythingArts.com
is recognized as a go-to arts &
entertainment media resource in Sarasota
and Manatee counties.
Our mission is to help get the word
out about, well, anything arts
related. This is a labor of love and not
our “jobs." Therefore, ad rates have
been developed to simply pay the direct
costs associated with producing
AnythingArts.com. We have purposely
kept the rates low to encourage repeat
advertising. After all, we don’t want to
spend all of our time beating the bushes
for advertisers when we have issues to
write and events to see!
"I have found AnythingArts.com to be the most effective vehicle for
my marketing efforts in Sarasota." ~
John Burr

**Advertising Hint**
We want our readers to click through to your
site, and you should too. Once our
readers are at your site, they can
browse your site, find out more about
what you do and shop! To help promote
this, design your ad or poster by
keeping in mind that internet users are
used to "clicking for more information"
- so the ad should be eye catching and
inviting the reader to find out more.
Contact information should be found on
your site, not on the ad.* We also need
a photo to accompany the story. If
special credit is due, please supply the
name and a website to go with it. And,
please remember to send a link to your
website. *FYI this is only true for web
based ads. For print ads, contact
information is necessary.
*Hint* Don’t see your
information in the issue?
Send all releases, links and
photos/artwork for local arts related
events to
Press@AnythingArts.com and, please,
no more than month ahead of the event
date.
You’d be surprised how many press
releases we get and just how
l...o...n...g some of them are. Really,
a 2,000 word press release with details
spread out in different paragraphs is
too much to read when reading dozens of
them.
So, in order to help you press release
submitters, and to help us keep our
sanity, AnythingArts.com Newsletter has
a suggestion on increasing your chances
for inclusion in upcoming issues. All
you have to do is to submit your
information in a form that we can simply
cut-and-paste. That means submitting the
information in a single paragraph that
contains the who, what, where, when, why
and how much. After the story, not in
it, include any web addresses the story
should be linked to and a .jpg photo. If
we can use the story as is, we will. We
may edit it to take out
ultra-superlatives and such, but we will
make sure you get in if you help us in
this way.**
If you are submitting press releases...
take a minute and look at our layout and
what our event stories look like. That’s
what we need.
To further increase your visibility,
visit
AnythingArts.com and enter your
event on our
events calendar
too.
We look forward to hearing from you. ;)

** Though we will
attempt to include every story
submitted, we reserve the right to not
include things that are too far a
departure from “arts." We also
concentrate on events and we don’t
simply report the news. Lastly, to keep
the issues from looking the same every
time, we will not run recurring events
in every issue nor will post things too
far in advance.
